Farewell to the Apes

As humans evolved from apes and entered the primitive society, we were like newborns, learning to survive and adapting to our environment. Eventually, we entered the Bronze Age after mastering the use of stone tools, and thousands of seasons have passed since then. Looking back at history, it seems that human life is often filled with more sorrow than joy. Wars, bloodshed, and archery battles seem to be ubiquitous throughout time and space.

As I finish reading this historical account, my hair has turned entirely white, and my life journey has reached its twilight years. Looking back, it seems like the same things keep happening over and over again. The pursuit of power, fame, and fortune by rulers, officials, and generals have led countless people astray. Are those so-called heroes genuinely admirable? I am not entirely convinced. People such as Dao Zhi, Zhuang Jie, Chen Sheng, and Wu Guang, who dared to challenge the authority of rulers and rise up against them, were the true heroes of their time.
