SU Shi – Lyrics to the Melody of an Immortal Who Lived in a Cave
Her skin was like ice, her bones like jade,
She did not sweat, looking cool and refreshed.
Breezes full of subtle scents wafted from the hall by the water,
Through drawn embroidered curtains the moon peeked at her.
She had not retired for the night, with her pillows askew and hairpins in her hair.
I rose to take her delicate hand, the courtyard and its environs quiet,
A star or two crossed the Milky Way between whiles.
