子规啼，不如归，道是春归人未归。几日添憔悴，虚飘飘柳絮飞。一春鱼雁无消息，则见双燕斗衔泥。
夏
俏冤家，在天涯，偏那里绿杨堪系马？困坐南窗下，数对清风想念他。蛾眉淡了教谁画？瘦岩岩羞带石榴花。
秋
风飘飘，雨潇潇，便做陈抟睡不着。懊恼伤怀抱，扑簌簌泪点抛。秋蝉儿噪罢寒蛩儿叫，淅零零细雨打芭蕉。
冬
雪纷纷，掩重门，不由人不断魂，瘦损江梅韵。那里是清江江上村？香闺里冷落谁瞅问？好一个憔悴的凭阑人！

春：
子规啼，不如归，道是春归人未归。
The cuckoo cries it's better to go home saying that the spring has come but people have not returned.
几日添憔悴，虚飘飘柳絮飞。
For several days I have become more haggard and the willow catkins fly aimlessly.
一春鱼雁无消息，则见双燕斗衔泥。
In this spring there is no news from the fish and geese but I see a pair of swallows fighting over mud.

夏：
俏冤家，在天涯，偏那里绿杨堪系马？
My beautiful lover is far away where can I find a green willow to tie my horse?
困坐南窗下，数对清风想念他。
I sit alone by the southern window thinking of him with every gust of wind.
蛾眉淡了教谁画？瘦岩岩羞带石榴花。
My delicate eyebrows have faded who will paint them? I am ashamed to carry a pomegranate flower while being so thin.

秋：
风飘飘，雨潇潇，便做陈抟睡不着。
The wind is blowing the rain is falling and I like Chen Tuan cannot sleep.
懊恼伤怀抱，扑簌簌泪点抛。
I am distressed and my heart is broken tears falling like raindrops.
秋蝉儿噪罢寒蛩儿叫，淅零零细雨打芭蕉。
The autumn cicadas have stopped chirping while the cold crickets continue to sing. The drizzling rain falls on the banana leaves.

冬：
雪纷纷，掩重门，不由人不断魂，瘦损江梅韵。
The snow is falling heavily covering the heavy door making my soul restless. I am thin and pale like the fragrance of the Jiangmei flower.
那里是清江江上村？香闺里冷落谁瞅问？
Where is the village by the clear river? Who is left alone in the fragrant boudoir?
好一个憔悴的凭阑人！
What a haggard person leaning on the railing!

关汉卿简介： 关汉卿（约1220年──1300年），元代杂剧作家，汉族，解州人（今山西省运城），号已斋（一作一斋）、已斋叟，与马致远、郑光祖、白朴并称为“元曲四大家”。他是中国古代戏曲创作的代表人物，以杂剧的成就最大，一生写了60多种，今存18种，最著名的有《窦娥冤》；关汉卿也写了不少历史剧，如：《单刀会》、《单鞭夺槊》、《西蜀梦》等；散曲今在小令40多首、套数10多首。关汉卿塑造的“我却是蒸不烂、煮不熟、捶不匾、炒不爆、响珰珰一粒铜豌豆”（〈不伏老〉）的形象也广为人称，被誉“曲家圣人”。他的作品主要表现了他对社会现实的深刻洞察，以及对人性深刻的揭示，具有极高的艺术价值和文化内涵。
